Limiting streaming media is an effective control mechanism that minimizes waste of network resources and time, while enabling streaming media for a small amount of time per day.

To do this, click Manage and select the Policies option. Click Add policy and give the new policy a name and a description. Set the new policy to Block, drag and drop the Websites element and select the Streaming media category. Next drag and drop the Applications element and once again select the Streaming media category. Next drag and drop the Bandwidth element. Select Download Option and set the amount of data to allow per day, in this example we’re setting a limit of 300 megabytes per day. Check that the required policy conditions are okay and save the new policy.
