Windows 2003 users can now add email content security, network security and messaging to their OS

GFI, leading worldwide developer of messaging, content security and network security software for Windows administrators, has announced that its entire product range now supports Windows Server 2003, the new multipurpose operating system released by Microsoft Corp. last month.

“GFI products now build on the new Windows Server 2003 features that offer even better performance, tighter security, greater scalability and easier management than its predecessor, Windows 2000 Server,” said Nick Galea, GFI CEO. “As a result, Windows Server 2003 users now have access to quality email content security, network security and messaging products that offer seamless integration with the operating system of their choice.”

Two GFI products already support Windows 2003: GFI MailEssentials for Exchange/SMTP 8, the company’s server-based anti-spam product, and GFI LANguard Network Security Scanner (N.S.S.), GFI’s popular tool that audits network security and allows the administrator to remotely install hotfixes and service packs.

Two other GFI products that are currently in beta also natively support Windows 2003: GFI MailSecurity for Exchange/SMTP 8, the new version of GFI’s email content/exploit checking and antivirus solution; and GFI’s market-leading fax server product for Exchange Server, GFI FAXmaker for Exchange 10. GFI FAXmaker for Networks/SMTP 11 will follow suit shortly.

An updated version of GFI LANguard Security Event Log Monitor (S.E.L.M.), that performs event log based intrusion detection and network-wide event log management, will include Windows 2003 support and will be available in June 2003.
