Euraltech maintains staff productivity using GFI products

July 20, 2004 - 12:00

Euraltech, a French organization offering global industrial solutions, uses a range of GFI products to reduce network risks and to guarantee high returns through improved efficiency and cost-saving. The company uses GFI MailSecurity, GFI MailEssentials and GFI DownloadSecurity to achieve a safe network environment that is free from viruses, Trojans, spam and other threats. For more efficient communications, Euraltech relies on the GFI FAXmaker fax server, and the GFI MailEssentials email management features. GFI has issued a new case study detailing this set-up.

A cost-effective solution to protect the network from email/download threats
To combat everyday threats to network security and protect it against malicious attacks, Euraltech chose the GFI MailSecurity/GFI DownloadSecurity bundle – an email content and download security package. As a result of deploying this bundle, Olivier Fourquin, the company’s IT Manager, observed that, “the return on investment is high, thanks to the great savings made by not having to face the cost of repairing a site after it has been infected by a virus”.

Eliminating spam efficiently
Euraltech was faced with the increasing need to block spam without generating many false positives. Their choice fell upon GFI MailEssentials for Exchange/SMTP, a server-based anti-spam solution that uses multiple methods to eliminate spam, including Bayesian filtering, header checking and keyword checking. “The return on investment was apparent after less than a year, thanks to the way the product helped maintain staff productivity,” Mr. Fourquin said about GFI MailEssentials.

Reduced working time and costs with GFI FAXmaker for Exchange
To counter the time wastage and costs resulting from using traditional faxing methods, Euraltech decided to invest in a fax server solution. The company was looking for a product that would meet its requirements – including integration with Microsoft Exchange – while having the right price tag. Mr. Fourquin opted for GFI’s native fax connector for Microsoft Exchange Server, GFI FAXmaker for Exchange, for unlimited users. Mr. Fourquin found it to be the ideal solution: “The advantages of having GFI FAXmaker are tangible and can be measured in terms of savings on the cost of printing and savings due to time management – especially thanks to the fast transmission of documents to the final recipient.”
