Redmond Magazine readers name GFI LANguard S.E.L.M. as “Best of the Best” for 2005
London, UK – GFI LANguard Security Event Log Monitor (S.E.L.M.) was voted Best Security Auditing Product based on readers' votes in the 2005 Redmond Magazine Readers' Choice Survey. This is the second consecutive year that GFI LANguard S.E.L.M won the prestigious Readers’ Choice Award (formerly the MCP Magazine “Products You Love Award”).
More than 2,200 readers voted to pick the favorites in over 40 product categories. The voting took place during a 10-day period in November. Readers sent in their recommendations for best network management, application management, performance management, network monitoring, bandwidth monitoring and Web usage monitoring products. GFI LANguard S.E.L.M. headed its category with 11.4% of the readers' votes.
“The level of response, and the passion that our readers exhibited in their comments, was fantastic,” says Lafe Low, executive editor for Redmond magazine. “Clearly, our readers feel very strongly about the products they use day in and day out.”
The complete results are published in Redmond Magazine’s January 2005 “Best of the Best” issue. “We called it ‘Best of the Best’ because the products in our market are solid, innovative, and essential. All of our winners are truly outstanding,” commented Doug Barney, editor in chief of Redmond.
