London, UK – GFI, the single source for network administrators to address their messaging and security needs, today announced that Kurt Shaver has accepted the position of Vice President/General Manager of the Americas Operations and John Kucmierz has been promoted to Vice President of Human Resources.
Kurt Shaver, 45, will join GFI from Websense Inc, NASDAQ: WBSN, where he has been Director, Western Region (North America) since October 2001. During his four-year tenure at Websense, Shaver was responsible for a four-fold increase in sales while building up the sales, support, and channel partner network. Prior to joining Websense, Shaver was at Monticello Corporation (Sunnyvale, CA) for three years as Vice President of Business Development and Director of Sales. With a proven track record in driving sales, Shaver has occupied other sales management positions at software and networking companies including AT&T Data Networks and Bruel & Kjaer Instruments.
John Kucmierz, 40, has served as the Vice President of Sales and Administration of GFI USA since 1999 where he led a four-fold increase in revenue while growing both a loyal customer base and an excellent group employee organization. Prior to GFI, Kucmierz worked in the capacity of Employee Relations Director for six years with Eckerd Corporation, a national retail chain, where he was responsible for reducing employee turnover by over 20%. He has also held management positions in training and development and operations.
