San Gwann, Malta – GFI, a dynamic international software development company with offices in Malta and abroad, is organizing a job fair at the Radisson SAS Bay Point Resort, St Julian's on Saturday 10 March 2007, between 9.30am and 4.30pm. The one-day recruitment event is aimed at finding high calibre employees to staff a variety of positions in the Malta office.
Posts on offer
This activity builds on the success achieved by the company’s first such recruiting event in Malta a year ago, through which a number of new recruits were hired. Positions on offer at the GFI Job Fair 2007 span various GFI departments, including Product Engineering, Marketing, Technical Support, Administration and others. Situations vacant include software developers, web developers, applications developers, software testers, technical support representatives, researchers, technical writers, web marketers and an administration clerk, among others.
“Founded in 1992, GFI has a proven track record of international success, selling its established off-the-shelf products to customers all around this globe. The company’s achievements to date, its quality software products, its global aspect and the stability it offers, coupled with great working conditions and opportunities, serve to attract numerous job applicants each year. The GFI Job Fair will make it even easier for prospective candidates to compete for an exciting career at GFI,” said Angelica Micallef Trigona, HR Manager. “The activity is in fact aimed both at those who wish to upgrade their careers as well as students completing their studies later this year, particularly those with a specialization in IT.”
GFI is an equal opportunity employer and its salary package includes health and life insurance benefits as well as performance-based promotions and bonuses. As affirmed by Noel Pulis, one of the company’s software testers who got his job through last year’s GFI Job Fair: “GFI helped me gain further IT knowledge while offering a great and experienced team to work with, in a comfortable environment with great management support. I am very grateful for the opportunity that GFI has given me and I would recommend a job at GFI to anyone who is keen on IT."
How to apply
Those interested in one of the posts on offer should simply turn up at the fair with a letter of application and their CV. All applicants will be interviewed on the day and some will be invited to a second interview there and then, with the possibility of an on-the-spot job offer. A number of second interviews will also be held at the GFI premises in the weeks following the fair. During the fair, refreshments will be served throughout the day as applicants wait to be interviewed. A section of the hotel’s parking area is being reserved for those who attend the fair so parking will not be a problem, and is free for all participants.
