GFI appoints Vice-President of Product Engineering

London, UK – GFI, the single source for network administrators to address their messaging and security needs, today announced that Simon Reed has joined the company as Vice-President of Product Engineering. He comes to GFI after six years as Director of Engineering at McAfee.

Mr. Reed, 37, will be responsible for all product strategy, software engineering and GFI Security Labs research activities at GFI. Prior to GFI, Mr. Reed spent 6 years at McAfee (NYSE: MFE) most recently as Director of Engineering, responsible for the development of the McAfee antivirus scan engine and content scanning technologies. Before McAfee he held a number of technical and management leadership positions at Computervision, Parametric Technology and Linkguard.
