London, UK – GFI, an international developer of network security, content security and messaging software, today announced that GFI MailEssentials™, the No.1 anti-spam and anti-phishing software, now supports Microsoft Windows Server 2008. The latest build also supports the next generation in IP addressing, IPv6.
Windows Server 2008 is the most advanced Windows Server operating system, designed to power the next-generation of networks, applications, and Web services. The latest build allows administrators to run the software in Windows Server 2008 environments.
Another new feature in this build is support for Ipv6. Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6) is a network layer for packet-switched networks and is the successor of Ipv4, the current protocol in use. Using Ipv6 allows for a much larger IP address space and therefore greater flexibility in assigning IP addresses.
“GFI MailEssentials is the number one anti-spam solution on the market and over 80,000 customers are using this award-winning product because of its unbeatable pricing, immediate return on investment and more so because it helps companies reduce the volume of spam hitting their email server by over 98%,” David Vella, Director of Product Management at GFI, said.
“The new build is another step towards meeting the requirements of our clients and offering them the tightest integration between our products and Microsoft’s latest server offering, Server 2008,” he added.
