Managed antivirus added to the GFI MAX RemoteManagement™ platform
GFI® Software continues to bring innovative new solutions to its managed services provider (MSP) partners by further expanding the critical IT solutions they can deliver via the GFI MAX platform. The company today announced it has integrated its proprietary, award-winning GFI VIPRE® Antivirus engine into GFI MAX RemoteManagement™. This enables MSPs to easily offer managed antivirus deployed and managed from their GFI MAX Dashboard, strengthening the value they provide their customers and enabling them to profitably capitalize on the rising demand for managed security solutions.
In its most recent quarterly survey, GFI found that 53% of GFI MAX MSPs are proactively focusing on security this year, while 79% expect security to be a major focus for them and their managed services customers by 2013. Responding to MSPs’ evolving business needs and emerging customer demands, managed antivirus is the latest in a series of significant enhancements to GFI MAX, through which MSPs are able to deliver a growing array of managed services.
“Helping MSPs grow their businesses is the driving force behind the innovations we are making in the GFI MAX managed services platform,” said Dr. Alistair Forbes, GFI MAX general manager, for GFI Software. “Backed by the extensive solutions portfolio of GFI Software and through the integration of robust, proven technologies like GFI VIPRE Antivirus, we are committed to providing MSPs with access to one of the broadest managed services offerings in the industry. Each new service we add to GFI MAX is an opportunity for our IT Support Companies to generate incremental, recurring services revenue that many of the competing RMM platforms are unable to deliver as seamlessly or as cost effectively as we are.”
Through the GFI MAX Dashboard—with which MSPs remotely manage all of their customers’ networks in one consolidated view—MSPs can now deploy managed antivirus services to protect their customers from all types of malware threats including viruses, adware, spyware, worms and rootkits. The new solution features:
“We’re very impressed with VIPRE Antivirus and plan on introducing it to all our managed services customers,” said Jason Mackevich, president, Greenlight Information Services LLC, a GFI MAX MSP. “Our customers are looking for effective managed antivirus solutions, and being able to provide a proven security product through GFI MAX RemoteManagement is a tremendous advantage for us.”
