GFI Software today announced its GFI MailSecurity™ solution has won Best Content Security Solution at the second annual Computing Security Awards at a black tie event at the Grand Connaught Rooms in London. The awards were determined by over 30,000 online votes.
The ceremony for the 2011 Computing Security Awards took place on 3rd November. In total, 20 awards were presented by Comedian, Alistair Barrie, and Event Manager, Dave Bonner. The Computing Security Awards highlights the products and services that have made a positive contribution to improving IT security in public and private sector organisations. They are the only awards to recognise excellence in IT security where the winners are determined entirely by online nomination and voting, so are a litmus test of end-user market perceptions of what the best security products are in the market.
The increasing proliferation of virus-infected and other malicious software heightens the need for superb antivirus and email exploit protection on every SMB network. The wide range of malicious overwhelm products that use merely a single antivirus engine to scan inbound email. GFI MailSecurity™ provides not one, but up to five antivirus engines protecting your email server.
“Today, SMBs are under a constant assault of spam, viruses and other malware that can cause significant business harm – ranging from impaired productivity to lost business to damaged reputations. This has heightened the urgency for SMBs to develop effective strategies for email security.” said Phil Bousfield, general manager, Infrastructure Business Unit, GFI Software NAME, TITLE of GFI Software. “I would like to thank all those who, through their vote, acknowledged the strength of this product. I would also like to thank our engineering and product development teams, as this award is down to their hard work as well.”
