GFI MailArchiver wins public vote to be crowned Product of the Year at Network Computing’s industry awards ceremony
GFI Software today announced its GFI MailArchiver™ solution has won Product of the Year at the sixth annual Network Computing Awards at a black tie event at the Hotel Russell in London. The awards were determined by over 30,000 online votes, a new record.
The Network Computing Awards, now in its sixth year, highlights the products and services that have made a positive contribution to improving IT networking infrastructure within public and private sector organisations. They are the only awards to recognise excellence in the networking industry where the winners are determined entirely by online nomination and voting, so are a litmus test of end-user market perceptions of what the best networking products are in the market
GFI MailArchiver enables SMBs to address many of the challenges associated with their email system, including managing increasing volumes of email and attachments; maintaining the performance of Microsoft Exchange servers; relying too heavily on PST files or tape backup to retrieve old or deleted emails; complying with the data retention requirements of government regulations; and ensuring that critical information contained in email is not lost and can be restored for business continuity purposes in the event of systems failures or natural disaster. GFI MailArchiver now includes MailInsights, a first-of-its-kind data analysis tool that enables SMBs to maximise the wealth of information contained within their archived email through data mining and report generation.
“Congratulations to GFI Software and all of this year's winners and finalists on their success,” said David Bonner, event manager for the Network Computing Awards. “This year's awards set another record in terms of votes cast, underlying the importance of networking technology to IT professionals. GFI MailArchiver continues to deliver important functionality and impressive performance, which was acknowledged by our readers who voted it Product of the Year.”
“This award from Network Computing recognises our efforts to provide SMBs with the tools they need to keep email effectively archived, combined with powerful tools to help organisations extract customer value and internal data intelligence from unstructured email archives,” said Phil Bousfield, general manager of the Infrastructure Business Unit at GFI Software. “I would like to thank all those who voted, as well as our product development and engineering teams who worked so hard to deliver an exceptional new version of GFI MailArchiver.”
