GFI Software™today announced the addition of Remote Tools to the monitoring service within GFI Cloud™, the company’s acclaimed, hosted IT platform. GFI Cloud enables IT administrators to easily manage and secure servers, workstations, laptops and mobile devices from a single, intuitive, Web-based user interface.
The addition of Remote Tools will enable IT admins to solve issues on end user machines, without disrupting the user or even having to actually visit the machine. As the number of remote workers in an organization increases, as well as the number of devices IT departments must support across those locations, an IT admin simply lacks the time and resource to physically tend to employee computer issues. With GFI Cloud’s new Remote Tools, administrators now have the ability to investigate and fix issues, regardless of the user’s location.
The key feature upgrades contained within Remote Tools include:
· Remote Command Line: Provides an interactive prompt to run commands, processes and utilities on remote PCs, including the moving, coping and deletion of files, mapping network drives, and silent install of software.
· Remote Process Manager: Allows an admin to monitor and manage processes running on remote PCs.
· Remote PowerShell Command Line: Interactive PowerShell command line prompt allows admins to run PowerShell Scripts and have full access to ComObject (COM) and Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI).
