GFI releases freeware version of GFI Network Server Monitor

GFI is launching a freeware version of GFI Network Server Monitor, its new tool that automatically monitors the network and servers for failures, and allows administrators to identify and fix issues before users report them. The freeware version allows HTTP/HTTPS and ICMP/ping checks to be configured. The HTTP check can be used to check availability of HTTP and HTTPS sites and check whether the correct web content is being served up. The ICMP/ping function monitors whether a particular server is still responding.

GFI today introduced GFI Network Server Monitor, a tool that automatically monitors the network and servers for failures, and allows administrators to identify and fix issues before users report them. Alerts can be sent by email, pager or SMS. Actions, such as rebooting a machine, restarting a service or running a script, can be done automatically. GFI Network Server Monitor is easy to set up and use, and is competitively priced.

GFI slashes prices for gateway content security and antivirus software by over 75%

GFI has just made anti-virus and content security affordable to any company. Traditionally, gateway level content security and antivirus is quite expensive. GFI's across-the-board price reductions are about to change this. Companies can now purchase GFI MailSecurity mail gateway/server protection - with multiple-engine virus scanning, exploit checking, Trojan detection and more - for as little as $895 for a 100-user network.
